Pakistani actress Zoya Nasir has responded to recent claims made by actor and singer Mohsin Abbas Haider regarding alleged drug use by some artists on drama sets, saying that such experiences do not reflect her personal journey in the entertainment industry.

Zoya Nasir, daughter of renowned writer Nasir Adeeb, shared her views during a recent interview in which she discussed her career, fitness routine and working environment in the Pakistani showbiz industry. She addressed the controversy sparked by Mohsin Abbas Haider’s remarks, where he had claimed that he had witnessed multiple actors arriving on set under the influence of drugs or alcohol, affecting their performance and professionalism.

According to Mohsin Abbas Haider, there have been instances where some performers were so impaired that they struggled to maintain basic expressions during shooting. He also stated that he had raised concerns with producers, which reportedly led to internal inquiries.

However, Zoya Nasir disagreed with these generalizations, saying that while such incidents may be part of someone else’s personal experience, she has never encountered anything similar throughout her career. She emphasized that her own professional environment has remained disciplined and respectful, with no visible signs of substance abuse among colleagues on set.

The actress added that, in her experience, most delays or late arrivals on set are usually due to extended working hours the previous day rather than any inappropriate behavior. She further highlighted that she has often observed a positive atmosphere on sets, including moments where artists engage in routine religious practices during breaks.

Zoya Nasir stressed that her projects have consistently provided her with a healthy and cooperative working environment, where professionalism and mutual respect remain the norm. Her remarks present a contrasting perspective to Mohsin Abbas Haider’s claims, reflecting differing experiences within the entertainment industry.

The discussion has sparked renewed debate on working conditions and professional conduct in the showbiz sector.
